OUTSIDE THE TASTE OF CAMBRIDGE EVENT, THURSDAY, 6.25.09

By DAVID DAY

EP_1126SteveTonyLG

Do you feel satisfied?

Tony: Yeah. Mostly because I got to dance to Michael Jackson on the last day of his life.

What food stood out?

Tony: Jody Adams' focaccia sandwich from Rialto.

Steve: I had a lot of Island Creek oysters.

Tony: There's an Island Creek Festival on September 12th. Future Chefs is helping to run it.

Future Chefs?

Tony: For low-income kids who want to be chefs.

That is a great idea.

Tony: They'll be shucking AND jiving.

Ugh, OK, let's get back to Michael.

Steve: My husband gets up in the morning and puts Michael on.

That's sweet. What's your favorite song?

Tony: I have to go with "Man in the Mirror."

Steve: "Thriller." Classic.

Tony: What's your favorite?

Ummmm ...

Tony: It's not easy to do an exit poll, is it?

The Middle East is a great venue when it's kind of full--but it can be a mess when it's completely sold out.

Surfer Blood & Turbo Fruits

By ioncrash on Mon, Mar 8, 2010 5:26 pm None-too-shockingly, Jonas Stein of Turbo Fruits (formerly of Be YourOwn Pet) turns out to be a pretty chill guy. After all, the dude’s written more songs about weed than I care to list right now.
