LIMP BIZKIT: ROCK IN THE PARK 2001
CHILDREN MAKING MUSIC
By DAVID DAY
Remember Limp Bizkit? Sorry. But if you're a fan, well, there are long odds you aren't reading this newspaper. But if you happened to pick this up and flip to this page before getting upset at something we said earlier, then this is for you. The greatest show Limp Bizkit ever played (boy, it's hilarious to type that name out) took place in Nuremberg, Germany (YA RLY) in June 2001, when, as it says in the press release, they were "pretty much at the height of their popularity." Which is to say ... at the height of their popularity. And when there are a shitton of people in the crowd, there's no doubt. At one point, Fred Durst (is he dead?) yells to the arena, "Are you understanding me right now?" Well, Fred, they speak German ... which actually explains a lot. Ich bin ein Nookie?
