The Four Seasons still lack respect. For one, their brilliant Genuine Imitation Life Gazette holds up better than many post-Sgt. Pepper concept albums, and surely trumps the Bee Gees' Odessa. Plus, from 1972-1975, they were signed to Motown and now, reissued for the first time, are 1972's Chameleon and 1975's Inside You. A more adult-contemporary '70s cool-out feel dominates these records, but it's a last gasp of viability before they would go with trite retro-style hits like "Oh, What a Night."
