PAS/CAL have aspired to be America's answer to Belle and Sebastian since 2003. Having released three excellent EPs, this is now their first full length, and all of this without touring! The cover portrays singer and songwriter CSMR (Casimer) and his children posing in a sparse room. Not so economical is the music. CSMR leads his group through long meanderings with his falsetto and city-boy witticisms. The end product masks PAS/CAL's knack for delivering a pop-tune but will reward with multiple listens.

“One of the most heart breaking things for me is the great number of homeless veterans,” said Ralph Cooper, executive director of Veterans Benefits Clearinghouse. “As you can tell, I’m getting older and my gray hair tells the truth. You can’t imagine how painful it is for me to talk with men and women who served in Vietnam, men and women who are young, coming back from Afghanistan and Iraq and they are homeless. How disgraceful is that?”
