Jwl. B and Shunda K make Luther Campbell look like Will Smith. These Tampa transplants shit on everything that hip-hop has become: anti-gay, anti-women and predictable. Yo! Majesty is the most refreshing rap to emerge in a long time and their lyrics, both uplifting and sexually frank ("I show you my monkey / Bend over and see it / It tastes like banana split") is only the half of it. First, they like women and let you know it ("I don't do boys but I might do your sister") and secondly, they don't give a fuck about the rules. They fuse electro, party rap and Garage Band beats with an assertive sexual swagger ("Put your fingers in my ass / 'Cause I ain't scared to get freaky witchu"). The full-length drops in September, but this EP, made up of non-album tracks, aims to get the dancefloor and our preconceived notions shaking. It is one hell of an introduction.

Health and Human Services Public Hearing

“One of the most heart breaking things for me is the great number of homeless veterans,” said Ralph Cooper, executive director of Veterans Benefits Clearinghouse. “As you can tell, I’m getting older and my gray hair tells the truth. You can’t imagine how painful it is for me to talk with men and women who served in Vietnam, men and women who are young, coming back from Afghanistan and Iraq and they are homeless. How disgraceful is that?”
