Not sure why I got so many copies of this record, as our generation notoriously eschews jazz, but, like the weather, when you go all the way to Norway (Supersilent, Nils Petter Molvæar, et al), jazz gets cool again. The constantly shifting phrases of Esbjörn Svensson's piano, Dan Berglund's double bass and Magnus Öström's drums keep you constantly guessing. But it's the progressive tendencies to play "electronics" and "transistor radio" that are always welcome in the old (perhaps dead?) form. Skål!

Michael Moore right for once
