Quite obviously, there is no comparison for the great Dylan. As a chameleon who has outlived his disguises, it's a wonder he's still alive, but unreleased tracks like "Dignity" and "Born In Time" show the master craftsman still leaves gems on the edit floor. Dylan never sings the same song twice, so there's also excellent "alternate versions" of "Everything is Broken" and "Most of the Time." Look past his toady voice to some of the greatest poetry of our time. I was going to take Columbia to task for labeling "Series of Dreams" as "Unreleased" when it in fact was included on the original Bootleg Series box set. One of his greatest songs, it recalls just what it says, and is perhaps his finest biographical allegory. But upon listening, it turns out this is indeed a different version—Dylan went and changed all the lyrics. Like I said, no comparison.

Ok, so the current plan is take all the money that we were going to spend helping the automakers become viable ongoing businesses, and shovel it over right now. (i.e. down the drain)

Michael Moore right for once

Most people know my disdain for Michael Moore (to sum up: if the right ever considered him dangerous, he would have died mysteriously some time ago), but his father worked at GM for 35 years and the man did make the excellent Roger and Me.
