HOW THE OBAMA AGENDA IS SHATTERING THE AMERICAN DREAM
TOMMY NEWBERRY
REGNERY PRESS
1.11.10

Sir, I do not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. Tommy Newberry's book churns up a question facing the jaded factions of America: Whose country is it, exactly?

In strict defense of our nation's founding fathers, Newberry critiques our recent political course-corrections toward (GASP!) socialism and goes on to say that these new policies and practices are endangering the "American Dream." But this is contingent on every American in our diverse patchwork of cultures and values having the same dreams and goals. Spoiler alert: We don't.

It's all the same-old same-old, from the ceaselessly yapping—and slowly diminishing—American right-wing echo chamber.

Newberry also claims that class warfare should be ignored, and that any redistribution of wealth is an attack on success, personal ambition and "you." Sorry, my bad, I guess doing more work at my lower-class job and getting paid less for it is keeping me from using raw determination to pull myself up into the money tree, a place, no doubt, where inflation does not exist. Because if we can't redistribute wealth or pry it out of the clammy hands of those who control it (which is to say, monopolies), we can just print money like it's going out of style, right? Financial crisis: Solved!

The Middle East is a great venue when it's kind of full--but it can be a mess when it's completely sold out.
