Ask. Tell. Repeal. An Evening with Lt. Dan Choi.

By HarvardHumanist on Thu, Sep 3, 2009 10:50 am

"I am gay." When Lt. Dan Choi spoke those 3 words to MSNBC's Rachel Maddow in May, he became the courageous face of opposition to the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in the US military. Articulate, wise, a patriotic West Point grad-not to mention an Arabic Linguist and Iraq veteran- Choi is a 21st century role model for all who value equality.

On Sept. 17 at the Harvard Science Center Hall D, Harvard's Humanist Chaplaincy and the Harvard Gay & Lesbian Caucus will present Choi with an award for Service to Humanity.

7:30-9pm, free and open to the public-- arrive early, seating may be limited.

Surfer Blood & Turbo Fruits

By ioncrash on Mon, Mar 8, 2010 5:26 pm None-too-shockingly, Jonas Stein of Turbo Fruits (formerly of Be YourOwn Pet) turns out to be a pretty chill guy. After all, the dude’s written more songs about weed than I care to list right now.
